In this capacity, he will report directly to AccorHotels Chief Executive Officer Sebastien Bazin and will continue to be responsible for the development of the Asia Pacific region under HotelServices Asia Pacific CEO Michael Issenberg, the hospitality chain said in a statement.
The appointment is effective from July 1, 2015, it added.
Bhushan will succeed Christian Karaoglanian, who will act as adviser to the Chairman from January 2016.
Since 2006, Bhushan has headed the Asia Pacific development teams and co-ordinated the development of joint ventures and partnerships in the region, it said.
The company currently employs over 1,80,000 people in 3,700 AccorHotels establishments in 92 countries.
