Accused lodged in central jail after seven day CB-CID custody

Subair, one of the main accused in the murder of a Hindu Munnani functionary, was today taken back to Central Jail after his seven day CB-CID custody period ended.
Subair was taken into custody for questioning with regard to the whereabouts of Mubarak, another wanted accused in the murder of C Sasikumar, on September 22 when the functionary was returning home around 11 PM, police said.
After expiry of the custody period, CB-CID produced him before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Madurasakharan, who directed that he be taken back to the Central Jail.
Subair was lodged in the Central Jail this afternoon, police said.
