Activist lawyer Prashant Bhushan of the 'Citizens Whistleblowers Forum' alleged "inaction" on the part of successive governments against the firm, despite adverse findings, including by a Joint Parliamentary Committee.
Bhushan told reporters, instead of letting the law take its due course, the Centre has involved the PwC in major tasks including "in the black money probe" while the Reserve Bank of India has used its services for audit of its information systems.
Justice (retd) AP Shah, RTI pioneer, Aruna Roy, former finance secretary EAS Sharma, Jagdeep Chhokar of the Association for Democratic Reforms, former navy chief Admiral Ramdas and former Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah are the other members of the forum.
