The Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industries of India (ASSOCHAM) today urged the Karnataka government to adopt and implement the Centre's draft guidelines for the direct selling business.
At a regional conference on the topic 'Promoting direct selling for developing entrepreneurship and job creation' here, the speakers sought the government toadopt the guidelines so that the direct selling would push industry's growth, spur skill development, and job creation.
In his address, chairperson of the ASSOCHAM Task Force on Direct Selling, Vijay Sardana said," ASSOCHAM would soon undertake a research on the best operational model suited with the current policies for direct selling industry in Karnataka together with the realchallenges being faced by the sector and share it with the state government."
