During a meeting with UK Secretary of State for Business and Energy and Industrial Strategy Greg Clark, Dave also emphasised the need for countries to complete their climate action pledges taken for the pre-2020 period.
Clark, while appreciating India's role in the ratification of Paris Agreement and post-Paris developments, emphasised the possibility of future collaboration on tidal energy and technology issues.
"The Environment Minister has underlined the need for completing pre-2020 actions and adoption of a holistic approach towards climate change, including an emphasis on sustainable consumption and lifestyles," an official statement said.
Dave appreciated the role of United Kingdom on issues related to climate change.
"Both nations shared the progress in bilateral cooperation on environmental issues, including climate change. The UK Secretary of State emphasised the possibility of future collaboration on tidal energy and technology issues," the statement said.
"Both the countries expressed the hope that their cooperation and exchange of experiences, knowledge and technologies will continue in future also," the statement added.
The Paris Agreement was adopted on December 12, 2015 with the objective of limiting global temperature rise to 2 degrees Celsius and strive for 1.5 degrees Celsius by eliminating use of fossil fuels and replacing them with renewable energy sources.
