After Chetan Parmar, Rajput leader quits Cong, joins BJP in

A day after Chetan Parmar, the grandson of Himachal Pradesh's first chief minister YS Parmar, quit the Congress and joined the BJP, the ruling party in the state received another jolt today when eminent Rajput leader Dinesh Chaudhary parted ways with it to join the saffron camp.
Addressing a press conference here, Chaudhary said three generations of his family had given their best to the Congress and added that he had no personal grudge against the party even now.
Chaudhary, who had installed the statue of YS Parmar, known as the "Himachal Nirmata", on Mall Road here a decade ago, alleged that except seeking votes in the name of Parmar, the state Congress did nothing to promote or protect his legacy.

Kush Parmar, a five-time MLA and son of YS Parmar, was denied a cabinet birth every time but now, the party had crossed all the limits by denying a poll ticket to Parmar's family, he added.
Chaudhary, the founder-president of the Rajput Sabha, said he would visit every village under the Nahan constituency to expose the failures of the Congress party.
Welcoming him into the BJP, the party's state general secretary and candidate from Nahan, Rajiv Bindal, promised that the saffron outfit would give full respect and honour to Chaudhary, his family members and supporters.
Earlier in the day, accompanied by hundreds of supporters and family members, Chaudhary arrived at the BJP office to a rousing welcome from the workers of the saffron party.

The Himachal Assembly polls are scheduled to be held on November 9.
