AHA Taxis raises pre-series A funding

Outstation cab aggregator AHA Taxis today said it has raised pre-series A funding through Lead Angels and existing investor, ah! Ventures.
While it did not disclose the amount invested, it said the funds will be utilised for strengthening technology and expanding operations to states including Bihar and Jharkhand as well as pilgrim destinations in the country.
AHA Taxis, which achieved break-even, was launched in 2015.
"With thousands of driver partners and pan India presence, we are now providing outstation taxi service in more than 4,000 cities across India," AHA Taxis CEO Amit Grover said in a statement.

IT firm Infosys today said it has partnered Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to offer a joint end-to-end mainframe modernisation solution that will help provide robust hardware and advanced software architecture to global enterprises.
The joint solution will support cloud and mobile ready applications and simultaneously reduce cost and enhance customer experiences, a statement said.
This partnership with HPE will help clients modernise their mission-critical infrastructure with confidence, Infosys President and Deputy COO Ravi Kumar said.

E-commerce major Amazon.in today said it has partnered with the world's biggest hardware accelerator, HAX and crowd funding community, Kickstarter to help create a conducive environment for early-stage product start-ups in India.
The three entities will together host Startup C-Cube, a multi-level challenge for Indian start-ups that flags off in Bengaluru on December 5, a statement said.
The winning start-up will be supported by the trio through the entire 'concept-to-customer' journey and the joint programme will also provide resources to the winner for launch - both in India and in Europe or the US, depending on the scalability of the idea, it added.
