According to the official statement issued on behalf of the makers, the film got an opening of Rs 13.10 crore. The film has released in nearly 3,000 screens.
Industry experts and trade analysts are hopeful the satirical comedy will get a boost commercially with word of mouth.
The experts predict more footfalls in cinema houses and a decent business with holidays lined up on Monday (Janmashtami) and Tuesday (Independence Day).
"The long holiday will mostly benefit the film in terms of collection. Over the weekend (of three days), it should do Rs 45-50 crore," film exhibitor, Akshay Rathi told PTI.
Keshav sets out on a mission to win back his love by standing against the age-old traditions and bringing awareness about the need of sanitation.
The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh.
