The initiative was part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility and was inaugurated by Salem deputy Mayor, M Natesan, a company release said here.
The Centre was equipped with 10 computers, a UPS and a printer and all the children, who are economically backward, can use the facility without any fee, it said.
It has applied for Vocational Training Provider registration under Skill Development Initiative Scheme of Government of Tamil Nadu, Sujoy Bose, Regional Head - South, Amway India, said in the release.
"We are supporting 16 computer centres across the country where more than 3,000 visually challenged individuals especially children are getting benefitted every year" Bose said.
