TDP leaders, including some ministers, had launched a campaign seeking induction of Naidu's son into the Cabinet. Some MLAs even offered to vacate their seat to enable election of Lokesh to the Assembly as he is not a legislator yet.
The clamour for a Cabinet berth for Lokesh has increased in the backdrop of allegations that he has been acting as an "extra-constitutional authority" by interfering in the state administration.
