A decision to this effect was taken by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. Plans have been formulated with experts from fields of culture and arts, Information and Culture Minister of Andhra Pradesh Palle Raghunatha Reddy said here this evening.
Speaking to mediapersons on the 10th day of Maha Puskharam in East and West Godavari districts, the minister said around four crore pilgrims have taken holy dip in the Godavari river.
"Coming two days, we are expecting heavy flow of pilgrims. We will arrange additional facilities for pilgrims like food packets, drinking water pouches, milk and free transportation," he said.
The state government will also organise traditional Sankranthi and Ugadi festivals on a large-scale. The government will also promote the state's language, art and culture, he said.
