The chief of Army's northern command, Lt Gen Ranbir Singh extended warm greetings to all Army personnel and people of Jammu and Kashmir.
"On the auspicious occasion of Eid-Ul-Fitr, the Army Commander extends warm greetings to the awam of the state and all Army personnel and their families," a Defence spokesman said.
The festival of Id-ul-Fitr marks culmination of the holy month of Ramzan, a month of prayers, blessings and forgiveness, he said.
In his message of felicitations, the Army Commander hoped that the festival will strengthen the bonds of communal harmony and usher in long lasting peace and prosperity in the state.
