Army officers pay tributes to martyrs of Kargil

Top officials of the Army paid tributes to the Kargil martyrs on the war's anniversary by placing a wreath at a memorial in Jaipur Military Station today.

The day marks the victory of Indian forces over Pakistan in the hills of Kargil and the success of India's Operation Vijay in 1999.

Chief of staff of Sapta Shakti Command,Lt Gen Vijay Singh,laid a wreath in remembrance of the soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for the nation.The ceremony was attended by all officers, JCOs and jawans of Jaipur Military Station, a defence spokesperson said.
