Arunachal Pradesh is a border state sharing its boundary with Bhutan, China and Myanmar and there is an urgent need to focus on development of socio-economic infrastructure in the border villages, a Raj Bhawan communique quoted Mishra as saying.
"People of these villages serve a vital purpose of keeping the border intact," he said.
Referring to the internal security problems in the eastern part of the state, the governor emphasised on the need for focus on developmental activities in those areas.
He advocated setting up of entrepreneurship development centres in each district to facilitate start-ups.
Stating that Itanagar is the only capital which is not on the air route map of the country, the governor called for ensuring effective air connectivity in the state at the earliest.
