Assembly session extended as AAP MLAs demand discussion on

The special session of the Delhi Assembly was today extended by a day for the second time.
Speaker Ram Niwas Goel had to extend the session as the MLAs of the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) created a ruckus in the House demanding a discussion over a website report, which claimed that the fortunes of a firm owned by BJP president Amit Shah's son Jay Amit Shah soared after the saffron party came to power in 2014.
As the AAP legislators trooped down to the Well, raising their demand for a discussion on the issue, Goel adjourned the House for 15 minutes.

After the House resumed, the AAP MLAs refused to relent, despite the speaker's request to go back to their seats.
The speaker then announced to extend the session by a day. The House will sit at 11 am tomorrow, instead of 2 pm.
Tomorrow, the speaker is expected to read out a communication from Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal regarding withdrawal of powers of the department-related standing committees (DRSC) of the House, but there is a possibility that the AAP MLAs would once again raise the issue involving the BJP chief's son.
The AAP government had called a special one-day session of the Assembly on October 4 to discuss and pass a bill to regulate the services of part-time teachers.

However, it was extended by one more day to discuss the proposed fare hike of the Delhi Metro.
