Giving the undertaking through an affidavit, he said that in compliance with the court's order dated December 5,he will vacate the house popularly known as Bijapur House on or before February 15.
Bahuguna also said he will pay an amount of Rs 39,440 as calculated by the state government toward occupation charges from the day he was in the possession of Bijapur House.
Taking serious note of former chief ministers shying away from vacating sprawling government bungalows allotted to them, a divison bench of Chief Justice K M Joseph and Justice V K Bisht had set the deadline and warned them of stern measures, including forced eviction, if they failed to meet it.
Former chief minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari has already filed an affidavit in the court saying he had vacated the bungalow allotted to him.
