Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance has started the selection process for its annual junior football camp (JFC) for the fifth consecutive year.
One talented teenager from the west zone, which includes cities like Goa, Pune and Mumbai, will get a chance to participate in the international football camp to be held in Munich, Germany in August, Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Divisional Manager Goa Manmesh Kalangutkar told reporters here.
In addition to this, a cash prize worth Rs 75,000 will be given to the winning team in the zonal finale, he said.
As a part of Bajaj Allianz's commitment to nurturing football talent, two youngsters would also receive training scholarships from the Peninsula Pune FC Academy, on their return from the camp, he said.
This activity will target over 1,000 children across 25 top schools and football clubs in the city.
In addition, Bajaj Allianz will also conduct the selection process in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Jalandhar, Delhi, Kerala, Pune, Lucknow, Bangalore, Kolkata and other states in the North East.
"Bajaj Allianz Junior Football Camp aims to bolster the young upcoming talent in football in India. This activity is in its fifth consecutive year and we are overwhelmed with the response so far," Kalangutkar said.
This platform provides them with an opportunity to visit Munich, Germany to train under coaches from FC Bayern Munich- one of the best football clubs in the world and also interact with the football players from the club, he said.
