The "Discover 125" will steer growth and bring the company volumes, Guruprasad Rao, Deputy General Manager, Bajaj Auto, told reporters here at the launch of the motorcycle.
He said the company was targeting big growth in the market for bikes in the range of Rs 47,000 to Rs 50,000 in the current year, adding, this segment accounted for nearly 60 per cent of the motor cycles sold in India.
The motorcycle segment, with sales of about eight lakh units a month, has recorded about 15 per cent decline in growth due to the economic slowdown and high interest rates, Guruprasad claimed.
