"Our partnership with Avenues gives us the opportunity to offer convenient banking solutions and provide easy access to POS and e-payment gateways for businesses," its managing director and chief executive Chandra Shekhar Ghosh said.
The agreement, signed recently at the bank's Kolkata headquarters, comes amid a greater thrust on digital payments by the government which includes a target to double the number of POS machines to over 20 lakh.

The chamber's first Indian office will be opened later this year in the financial capital, it said in a statement.
"We see a host of opportunities for business synergies between Dubai and Mumbai," its chairman Majid Saif Al Ghurair was quoted as saying in a statement.
"We have a strong commitment and will be encouraging Dubai companies to open up business in Mumbai and to strengthen public-private partnerships," he added.
A delegation from the chamber is currently visiting the financial capital and Ahmedabad, and met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Apollo LogiSolutions today said it will be forming a joint venture with Singamas, a subsidiary of Pacific International Lines, for cold chain logistics.
Both the companies signed a memorandum of understanding today which aims to provide cold chain logistics solutions, temperature controlled space/warehouses and temperature controlled transportation and distribution services, a company statement said.
This joint venture is the third agreement between Apollo and PIL group of companies, it said, adding that the first two include cooperation on container freight stations and transporting specialised liquids.

National Union of Seafarers of India (NUSI) has launched a helpline to address psychological issues faced by seafarers in the country.
The helpline was recently launched here by Director General of Shipping Malini Shankar.
