At the London Metal Exchange (LME), copper was trading almost steady in early trade and set to notch up its biggest weekly loss since 2011, hammered by bearish sentiment on global growth, with traders looking to sell into any rallies.
Tin shot-up by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 1,470 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 1,460.
Copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 400 from Rs 392 and copper armiture climbed by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 405 against Rs 398.
Copper scrap heavy also moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 420 from Rs 417.
Copper cable scrap, copper wire bar, brass utensil scrap, alumiuium ingots and brass honey went up by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 429, Rs 457, Rs 305 and Rs 163 from Rs 427, Rs 455, Rs 303 and Rs 161.
Aluminium utensils scrap, zinc and lead inched-up by a Re per kg each to Rs 133, Rs 175 and Rs 134, respectively.
