The Park has been constructed by the Urban Development and Housing department at a cost of Rs two crore to commemorate the Champaran Satyagraha launched by Mahatma Gandhi a century back.
Speaking at a function at Sri Narayan Singh College, Kovind said the Park dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi was a fitting tribute to the freedom movement and the centenary celebrations of the Champaran Satyagraha.
