Krishnagar in Nadia district was the second coldest at 6.6 degree Celsius, followed by Asansol that recorded 8.0 degree Celsius.
The Met department has forecast cold day conditions in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and parts of Gangetic plains where dense fog in the morning may affect normal life.
In Kolkata, minimum temperature rose a little to 12.3 degree Celsius, but it was still about three notches below average for this time of the year.
Cold night and day conditions are likely to continue throughout the state for the next three days, the Met department said.
