BJP today accused the ruling JD(U) of trying to "thrust" its agenda on the basis of numbers and said it will boycott the meeting of an Assembly committee.
"BJP will not participate in the meeting of Committee on Rules and Procedures," Leader of Opposition Nand Kishore Yadav told reporters.
Yadav, who is a member of the committee, said the decision was triggered by the "bad intension" of the JD(U) government to "thrust" its agenda on the House.
He said the decision is also taken to protest denial of PAC (Public Accounts Committee) chairmanship to BJP which is the principal opposition in the House.
"Violating rules and tradition, the JD(U) government has not given the chairmanship of PAC to BJP and continue supporting party RJD Legislator Lalit Yadav to cover up its misdoings," the opposition leader alleged.
Nand Kishore Yadav had yesterday protested laying of the second supplementary budget by the government today in place of December 26 as no decision was taken on preponing the issue.
Earlier, BJP disrupted business of Assembly on the issue of agitation by teachers, nurses and other government employees.
The opposition leader alleged that Jitan Ram Manjhi has been victim of "policy paralysis" forcing teachers, nurses and other government employees to stage agitation even in cold winter condition.
With Speaker Uday Narayan Chaudhary disallowing BJP adjournment notice, its legislators trooped to well of the House and shouted anti-government slogans.
When all efforts to bring calm in the House failed, the Speaker first adjourned the House till 12 o'clock and later till 2 PM.
