Rajasthan Congress chief Sachin Pilot today attacked BJP-led governments at the Centre and in state alleging they were paying "less attention to governance" but busy in giving "clean chit" to each other.
"BJP governments' attention were less on governance as they were busy in giving clean chit to each others," Pilot said here at the sidelines of the merger ceremony of BSP workers in Congress party.
Pilot also attacked the state government over alleged rising incidents of crime against Dalits and women in Rajsathan.
BJP's all announcements and speeches were restricted up to papers, it should safeguard interests of women, Dalit and weaker section of the society, he said.
On a question related to attack on an RTI activist of Dalit community in Jaisalmer, Pilot said there was gross violation of human rights as atrocities against dalits' graph was rising in the state every other day in just one and half year of BJP rule.
"It is a shameful act in society...The state government should take stern action now to contain such crime and RTI activists work in secured environment," he said.
On BSP workers' merger he said, it was a beginning with the workers from ten districts in the state joining the Congress, Pilot said adding more will join the party later.
Comparing his party's membership campaign with that of the Opposition BJP, Pilot said, every one who wanted to be member is present here, and it is not like BJP's "bogus" membership drive.
Asked about Congress MP Shashi Tharoor's statement allegedly in favour of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Lalit-gate and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his Yoga and Clean India mission, Pilot categorically said, "Tharoor has not said any thing adverse to the party. Our policies are same and very clear on every matter".
