Talking to reporters here, party Vice President Balbir Punj said his party is in touch with their alliance partner Shiromani Akali Dal over the matter.
"It is a very sensitive issue linked to peace and harmony in Punjab and any action which can revive the situation which led to Blue Star should be avoided.
"We have discussed the matter with CM Parkash Singh Badal and hope his intervention will dilute the matter," Punj said.
The controversial memorial built for those killed in Operation Blue Star in 1984 was thrown open to public last Sunday.
It has been built near the marbled periphery of the Golden Temple complex.
Operation Blue Star was launched in June 1984 to flush out hiding militants in the Golden Temple led by Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, who was also killed in the military operation.
