BJP issues whip asking MPs to be present in Rajya Sabha

BJP today issued a whip asking its Rajya Sabha members to be present in the House during the week as the government plans to push some important Bills in the Upper House.
The Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Bill, the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Amendment Bill and the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order (Amendment) Bill are among the Bills likely to be taken up this week.
NDA's strength has increased in the Upper House following the nomination of six new members but it still remains a minority, making the presence of every member crucial to push the government's legislative agenda.

The party had earlier issued a whip for its Lok Sabha members to ensure their presence for voting on parliamentary committees, including PAC and Estimates Committee.
