In an effort to woo young voters, BJP will set up around 2,500 'Selfie with Modi' booths across the city where people will be able to click their photos with a "virtual Narendra Modi".

The first such 'Selfie with Modi' booth was today inaugurated by BJP President Amit Shah today at Central Delhi's Khan Market.

Modi is himself known for clicking selfies on various occasions. The party feels the 'Selfie with Modi' campaign will hit the right chord in the city when it goes to polls on February 7.

"The Selfie with Modi is our party's initiative to connect with the young voters in the city," said Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was also present on the occasion.

He added, "Narendra Modi has a popularity of his own and to reach out to the people before the elections in a way like this is very innovative."

When Pradhan was asked why 'Selfie with Modi' and not with Kiran Bedi when she is the party's face in the Delhi Assembly election, he said, "Kiran Bedi is roaming across Delhi, sometimes she is travelling by rickshaw, sometime she is having tea from roadside stalls, people can anyway reach out to her and click pictures."

"Moreover, Narendra Modi is our Prime Minister and the main leader whereas Kiran Bedi is our CM candidate. So we have launched this Selfie with Modi campaign."
