RJD's Godda MLA Sanjay Prasad Yadav accorded party membership to Mandal, RJD's Jharkhand unit spokesman Manoj Kumar said.
"RJD is a party of Dalits, minorities and other downtrodden people," Mandal said in his speech after joining the Lalu Prasad's party ahead of the five-phase Assembly election beginning November 25 in Jharkhand.
Some other politicians also joined the RJD on the occasion.
