In case of non-compliance to their demands, the autonomous body has threatened to go on a protest march with all members from its three corporations - North, South and East, representatives of MCD told reporters after meeting Jung here today.
"The earlier Congress government had reduced our rights. Around Rs 7,000 crore of MCD is pending since its trifurcation in April 2012... It includes Sixth Pay Commission related funds, house tax and others," said Subhash Arya, Leader of House, South District Municipal Corporation.
"He (Jung) said he would think over it and respond, whatever demands falls under his authority will be met. He said he would consult it with his officers.
"If we do not receive some satisfactory response by him in three-four days, all members of three MCDs would stage a protest march to his office," Arya added.
Besides the pending dues, MCDs also demanded autonomy in conducting selection of employees, regularisation of unauthorised colonies, amendments in master plan and solution for reducing rift with other administrative bodies like Delhi Jal Board and Delhi Development Authority.
