BJP-Sena will register unprecedented victory in Maha: Fadnavis

Asserting that the BJP-Shiv Sena alliance will return to power in Maharashtra with an "unprecedented" mandate, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday said his government worked for the weaker sections of the society and tried to transform their lives.

He also criticised the opposition Congress and NCP for "not doing anything" except giving "false and misleading" promises during the 15 years of their rule before the BJP-Sena government came to power in 2014.

As part of the election campaign, Fadnavis addressed public rallies at different places in Solapur district on Thursday.

While addressing a rally at Mangalwedha, he said, "Congress and NCP did not do anything for 15 years except giving false and misleading promises. But after our government came to power five years back, we worked for the poor, downtrodden, tribals, minorities, farmers, OBCs and women, and tried to bring about a transformation (in their lives)."
