Parrikar's son Abhijat, a businessman by profession, got married to his long-time friend in a grand ceremony at Taleigao village, three kms from Panaji.
Besides Modi, BJP leaders like L K Advani, Rajnath Singh, Venkaiah Naidu, Gopinath Munde and Rajiv Pratap Rudy among others attended the wedding reception and blessed the couple. Goa politicians cutting across party line were also present.
Tight security arrangements were made at the venue considering the presence of high-profile personalities.
