Additional District Judge Barkat Ali rejected the bail application of Maharia, Additional PP Rajesh Pareek said.
Maharia, son ofindependent MLA Nandkishore Maharia, was driving the car at high speed in inebriated condition and hit an autorickshaw and a police van leaving three passengers of an autorickshaw dead and five others including four policemen injured on July 2.
He was arrested under section 304 of IPC (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder).
