"The digitization process is underway and is likely to be completed in next six months," Bundi Municipal Council Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Mangal said, adding the digital mapping of the city has so far helped in identifying the encroachments.
Encroachments have been removed from government land in 32 colonies of the city, Mangal said.
"The digital mapping will check the unplanned and illegal constructions," the official said, adding it will also bring accountability and transparency in working.
Once the digital mapping project is over, one can easily access the database to the exact location and dimension of a house or any other construction, its owner and occupants, he said.
Before issuance of any document or license, an official will be able to check and verify the details with the help of the minute digital mapping, the Commissioner said.
