East Singhbhum District Congress Committee today demanded the district administration to install a bust in memory of the BSF jawaan, Krishna Kumar Dubey, who was killed in the Pakistani troops firing in Kashmir recently.
After taking part in the funeral process of Dubey here, Vijay Khan, President of DCC, said Congress has urged the district administration to establish a bust of Dubey, who has sacrificed his life at young age for the country.
The bust should be installed at Trimuti chowk in Kitadih locality, where Dubey had been living, he said.
Khan, accompanied by the INTUC Secretary Rakeshwar Pandey, led the party workers to participate in the funeral procession, in which a massive crowd turned up to pay their homage.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) Secretary, S R A Rizvi Chabban described the killing of Dubey by Pakistani snipers as unfortunate as it had taken place hours before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Shariff were scheduled to meet in Russia.
Claiming that Kashmir is a reality for India while
A dream for Pakistan, Rizvi criticized Modi government for failing miserably to tackle the frequent firing from across the border.
During the 13-month NDA rule, the country has lost the lives of several army jawans and officers in the firing Pakistani forces, which has violated the cease fire agreement over 600 times.
Congress leader said Prime Minister should focus to improve relations with our neighboring countries rather touring the world.
