Raman Singh had organised a dinner party last night at his official residence in honour of the officials and police personnel who accompanied him during his recently concluded Vikas Yatra. The party was attended by government functionaries, including senior IAS and IPS officials.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson, Shailesh Nitin Trivedi has written a letter to Chief Election Commissioner seeking action against organising such events just before elections.
The electoral process has begun in the state, he said while requesting the EC to impose a ban on such events.
Trivedi also sought an immediate action on the chief minister's alleged attempt to influence the election process and officials.
