C'garh govt grants rebate in power tariff for steel industry

The Chhattisgarh government has granted rebateinpowertarifffor the steel industry in the state.
The steel industry will get a rebate of Rs 1.40 per unit consumption of electricity, an official here said.
"The aim is to grant relief to keep the steel industry in a competitive environment," he said.
The energy department had issued a circular to this effect last month here from Mantralaya, he added.
However, the new price structure will be effective retrospectively from April 1, 2017 to September 30, 2017.
