The 30-year-old "Call Me Maybe" hitmaker is currently working on her fourth studio album, reported ET online.
"I'm kind of nervous to say too much, but I'm definitely inspired by a little bit of disco sounds. I don't know where it's coming from but I can't help myself," Jespen said.
The 30-year-old singer also spoke about the recent shooting tragedies which have rocked Orlando.
"You can't let fear win in those situations. There's always gonna be some people that you don't understand in the world, who can do horrible things, but I think there is forever more good," she said.
