A case was registered by the police today in connection with a bombing incident in the residence of Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) secretary Asirbad Behera's here, a police officer said.
On the basis of a written complaint lodged by an acquaintance of Behera, the city police today registered the case and began investigation into the bombing incident last evening, the officer said.
For the second time during last fortnight Behera's house was targetted by some unidentified persons, who hurled bombs but none was injured.
Although, no one got injured in the twin incidents, it is surprising that Behera did not come forward to seek police help in this regard.
"One Biswanath Naik, a contact of Asirbad Behera has lodged a written complaint over Friday's incident, which has been registered as an FIR," Bidanasi police station sub inspector B K Dalai, the Investigating Officer in the case said adding the FIR has not named any accused.
The police have detained at least four persons in this connection and are quizzing them.
Police also seized two motorcycles from them, Dalai said adding that Asirbad Behera has also been examined in this connection.
