Celebrated Fashion designer duo launches first Gastro-Pub

Celebrated fashion designer duo 'Dev-Nil' unveiled eastern region's first Gastro-Pub here in the upscale Park Street area pointing out Kolkata's night life is far more vibrant than other metros.
Calling it the most new thing in this region, Dev, having held his fashion show in Dubai recently, told PTI, "It is a place which combines typical heritage European pub look with lounge feel in a contemporary style.
Dev, who termed the smoked grill vegetable as the stunning new item of the pub, introduced for the first time, said last evening as a designer he mooted for regular change in the colour scheme as the look enriches the gastronomical experience.

"They have indigenized a whole array of pizzas from - Cheeze watermelon slider to Mushroom pizza and Dessert pizza, which is a refreshing different fare coming up in Kolkata, the culinary capital of the country, he said.
Instead of an exclusively fine dining place or night club, gastro pub is a cross between the two, much in vogue in Europe, but not having been here previously," Executive Chef of the 'M Bar Kitchen Gastro-Pub' Tanya Ghosh said
"You need new concepts. The widely-travelled Kolkatan is very European in accepting new things if they are refreshing, truly different, " Varun Mimani, owner M Bar Kitchen said.
