"The four-laning of Rohtak-Hansi-Hisar road is all set to start soon as Public Private Partnership Approval Committee of the central government has finally approved the ambitious Rs 959.25 crore project to four-lane this important road link in Haryana," a state government release said.
The release also quoted Haryana MP Deepender Singh Hooda as saying that the project would open new vistas of progress for the larger part of the state.
Hooda had held several meetings to impress upon the Union Road Transport and Highways Ministry for clearance of this project.
With the achievement of this first goal, now the endeavour would be for expediting the four lanning of Hisar-Fatehabad- Sirsa-Dabwali till Punjab Border, Hooda said. He had also raised the issue in Parliament.
The project will also see construction of five by-passes to ease traffic along some of the major cities and towns of Haryana.
