Describing Kerala as the 'most backward' in implementation of various road projects, Union minister for Road, Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today said the Centre was prepared to provide Rs 20,000 crore to the state for developing its roads.
"I am offering Rs 20,000 crore to the state government. Let them select the roads and give it to me," Gadkari, who was here for a private function, told media personnel.
The minister blamed the state for being 'most backward' in implementation of road projects.
Money would not be a major issue in taking up road projects, he said.
