The transformers will be used in expansion of the central South American country's 220 kV and 66 kV electricity network, the company said here.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
"CG has signed a contract with the state utility of Paraguay - Administracion Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE) - for eight single and three phase transformers totalling 420 MVA for the expansion of the country's 220 kV and 66 kV electricity network," a CG release said.
"This order reinforces CG's strategic intent to diversify its customer base in Latin America, and we remain focused on building the energy infrastructure of the region with our extensive range of technologically driven products, systems and solutions," its CEO and Managing Director Laurent Demortier said.
CG has been present in South America for the past two decades and has previously partnered with ANDE for the supply of single and three phase transformers and 30,000 smart meters to the Paraguayan grid.
