Check human trafficking post earthquake: UP govt to police

The Uttar Pradesh government today directed officials to keep a strict vigil on human trafficking on Indo-Nepal border in the wake of the recent earthquake, a Home department spokesperson said here.
Principal Secretary (Home) Devashish Panda has asked the Director General of Police to maintain a strict vigil on the people crossing from Nepal into neighbouring districts to check human trafficking, he said.
Panda has asked the DGP to issue necessary directives to IGs, DIGs, and district police chiefs in this regard.
