This is the sixth time the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy vessels have visited India.
The hospital ship "Peace Ark" set sail from Zhoushan, Zhejiang Province in China on June 10 to carry out "Mission Harmony-2013".
So far, the ship has visited four destinations including Brunei, Maldives, Gulf of Aden and Pakistan during the mission since June, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
During its stay, the task group will provide medical treatment service to Chinese people working in India, carry out exchange and cooperation with Indian counterparts.
Its tasks include treatment and evacuation of injured and sick personnel at sea, and medical support for troops stationed at islands and atolls, the report said.
The ship is 4,000 square metres in size, including seven offices for doctors and nurses and eight nurse stations, in addition to 300 beds.
