Chloe Moretz sidesteps questions on Louis C K allegations

Actor Chloe Grace Moretz recently sidestepped questions about the allegations of sexual misconduct against comedian Louis C K and said she would rather talk about the overall movement than her "single" experience.
The 20-year-old actor worked with comedian on the film "I Love You, Daddy", which was dropped after the allegations of misconduct surfaced against him.
Moretz said she chooses to look forward with hope rather than reflecting on her experience with him.
"I could single in and talk about my experience, but I think it's more important to talk about the entire movement as a whole," Moretz told Variety on the sidelines of Sundance Film Festival.

"I'm one of hundreds of thousands of women in so many different industries that has a story... I think it's just nice, the communication, and the fact that you asked that question at Sundance in a video suite. This never would have happened two years ago," she added.
Moretz, who is associated with 'Me Too' and 'Time's Up' movements, said the progress has already being made just by having these conversations at major film festivals.

"I think it's just nice, the communication, and the fact that you asked this question at Sundance in a video suite, this never would have happened two years ago," she said.

"So the fact that it's a conversation and it's a question is monumental, and I think that shouldn't be looked past or looked over. We've all been through a lot of stuff, but at least we're communicating and people are going to be held accountable," she added.
The accusations against C K emerged after The New York Times published a piece alleging that he had repeatedly asked women he encountered in work- related environments to watch him masturbate.
"These stories are true," C K had said in a statement after the story was released.
