The clerk identified as Tejram Kandere demanded the bribe from the real estate company director Rejesh Sharma.
Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths laid a trap and caught Kandere the moment he took the money from Sharma, Lokayukta DSP BS Parihar told PTI.
Sharma's company wanted to sell plots on a five acre land at Khandwa Road for which he applied for a permission to Town and Country Planning Department and to arrange the same Kandere demanded Rs 1.5 lakh bribe.
Lokayukta is also probing the role of senior officials of T&CP department on the issue, Parihar added.
