CM has no time for water, power issues, LG must intervene:BJP

Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari has urged Lt Governor Anil Baijal to intervene to help the people facing power cuts and water shortage in many areas of the city, alleging that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had "no time" to attend to these grievances.
In a letter to the Lt Governor, Tiwari has asked for a high-level meeting of officials of departments concerned to find a solution to the power and water issues.
Tiwari alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has "no time" to address these grievances as he is busy in "power games" to retain his office.
"It is tragic that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has no time to attend to power and water shortage problems of Delhiites or to frame the mandatory summer plan of power and water supply as he is busy in power games to retain his office."

Tiwari claimed that there is neither shortage of raw water inflow from Haryana or Uttarakhand nor there is any drop in supply from power grids but despite that people in almost all areas of Delhi are facing "poor" water and power supply.
In his letter, he alleged that residents in east, north east, north west, south, south west and rural parts in Delhi were facing "daily power cuts of two to three hours".
Areas such as Greater Kailash, Malviya Nagar, Shalimar Bagh, Patparganj and Patel Nagar have been affected by volatage fluctuations and unannounced power cuts in the midnight, he complained.

The Delhi Jal Board water is "very filthy" and people are "forced" to buy bottled water and install water purifiers due to water borne diseases, he alleged.
