Sultry conditions prevailed in Delhi, which despite receiving no rains, recorded high humidity levels between 52 and 86 per cent, according to Met department.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 34.9 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal, while the minimum settled at 22.5 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average, the Met report said.
A day after many parts of Punjab and Haryana received rainfall, mercury hovered around normal levels in the two states too.
Chandigarh recorded a maximum temperature of 32.9 degrees Celsius, MeT report said.
Ludhiana's maximum registered 32.6 degrees Celsius while Patiala recorded a high of 33.2 degrees Celsius.
Ambala in Haryana recorded a high of 33 degrees Celsius while Hisar's maximum settled at 36.6 degrees Celsius.
Monsoon weakened over Rajasthan in the last two days even as scattered rains occurred at a number of places in the state.
Nohar recorded 7 cm of rainfall since last night, followed by Alwar 4 cm, Ramganjmandi, Churu, Rujgarh 3 cm each, Taranagar, Suratgarh, Rajgarh, Thanagaji, Kotputali, Viratnagar, Malissar 2 cm each, and one cm at other places in the state, a Met report said today.
Mercury showed an upward trend in western Rajasthan as Ganganangar recorded a maximum temperature of 36.8 degrees Celsius followed by Jaisalmer 36.6, Barmer 36, and Jaipur 34.7 degrees Celsius.
Heavy rains lashed isolated places in east Uttar Pradesh while some places in the rest of state received light to moderate rains.
Uskabazar in Siddarathnagar district received the most rainfall recorded at 13 cm, followed by Ghazipur, Kakrahi 5 cm each, Birdghat, Maharajganj 4 cm each, Biswan 3 cm, Bahraich, Zamania, Jaunpur 2 cm each.
