The MeT Department has predicted further dip in the minimum temperature in the state.
Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded a minimum temperature of minus 1.6 degrees Celsius, same as the previous night, an official of the MeT Department said here.
The minimum temperature in Pahalgam, in south Kashmir, settled at minus 7.7 degrees Celsius as compared to minus 7.8 degrees Celsius the previous night.
The famous ski-resort of Gulmarg registered a low of minus 11.6 degrees Celsius as against the previous night's minus 11.0 degrees Celsius.
Kokernag, in south, recorded a low of minus 6.3 degrees Celsius as against minus 6.1 degrees Celsius the previous night, he said.
The minimum in Kupwara, in north Kashmir, settled at minus 0.8 degree Celsius as compared to the previous night's minus 0.9 degree Celsius.
Leh, in Ladakh region, recorded a low of minus 14.7 degrees Celsius against the previous night's minus 14.2 degrees Celsius.
The mercury in Kargil settled at a low of minus 13 degrees Celsius, an increase of over six degrees from minus 19.8 degrees Celsius the previous night, which was the season's coldest night in the town so far, the official said.
