Cold wave continues in most parts of Himachal

Cold wave sweeping most parts of Himachal Pradesh continued today though maximum temperatures rose marginally and weather remained dry in the state.
Mercury rose by few notches in the lower hills and Sundernagar, Una and Solan recorded a high of 23.9 degrees, 23.8 degrees and 23 degrees, while Bhuntar recorded maximum day temperature at 22.1 degrees, followed by Nahan 18, Shimla 14.8, Dharamshala13.6, Manali 13.1 and Kalpa 11.2 degrees.
The sky remained partially overcast and strong winds swept the region but rain and snow eluded the region.
There was minor fluctuation in minimum temperatures and Keylong in Lahaul and Spiti was coldest in the region with a low of minus 8 degrees, followed by Kalpa minus 3.2, Manali minus 2, Bhuntar 2, Sundernagar 2.7 degree, Solan 3.2, Palampur 4, Shimla 5.5, Una 5.6 and Dharamsala 6.4 degrees.
The local MeT office has predicted rains or snow at isolated places over next four days.
